INA SUE "SUZIE" (WINGO) YOUNG
Birth: 4 Feb 1939
Death: 8 May 2023
(age 84 yrs, 3 months, 4 days)
Ina Sue Wingo Young passed from this life on Monday, May 8, 2023, at the age of 84. Better known as Suzie, she was born February 4, 1939, in Weatherford, Texas to Stephen Irwin (Irb) Wingo and Annie Pearl Newberry Wingo. Suzie married Davis Ray Young on June 27, 1958.
She truly loved people and people truly loved her back. Suzie devoted her life to teaching others. It didn't matter the age, whether the person was a tiny little one or a full-grown adult kid; she could teach them all. Her passion for teaching is what inspired her to open Harmony Christian School. She later opened Grace Christian Academy at her home where she poured into her students for 24 years. She loved antiques and she and her husband Davis enjoyed many "treasure hunting" trips together. She enjoyed playing 42 with family and especially enjoyed her iced tea, every single day. Suzie was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Suzie's memory will be cherished by her surviving family, which include her husband, Davis Young; daughter and son-in-law, Jenny and Ron Webb; sons, Paul Young and Kelly Young; grandsons, Brazos Webb and wife Jill, Cole Webb and wife Shelby; great-grandchildren, Jimmy, Will, Elizabeth, and Isaiah; and numerous much-loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Julie McWilliams; and siblings, Steve Wingo, Bob Wingo, Junior Wingo, Charles "Mutt" Wingo, Mildred Wingo Kelley, Dorothy Wingo Fogo, Joyce Ann Wingo Ledlow, and Ben Wayne Wingo.
The family would like to extend an invitation for friends and family to gather and visit from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at 2901 FM 920 in Weatherford, Texas 76088.
A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel. Burial will take place at Clark Cemetery immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, and in memory of Ina Sue Young, the family requests donations to a missionary supported by your local church.
