Kenneth “Duard” Ruland Sr., 84, passed away on December 30, 2018 in Glen Rose, TX.
A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2018 at Clark Cemetery beginning at 3 pm. A visitation will be held Friday evening at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
Duard was born on September 5, 1934 to James Lassitar Ruland and Lillie Agnus Jones in Parker County. He married Etta Mae Farquhar on September 3, 1955. Together they had two children, Kenneth Jr. and Kellie Ruland. Duard was a farmer and rancher in Parker County for many years and retired from Tri-County Electric Co-op. He was well known in the community for his vegetable garden and generosity. Duard was a life time member of the Friendship Baptist Church where he proudly served as a deacon and on numerous committees. He was a loving family man with numerous friends and will be remembered by his blue eyes and sense of humor.
Duard is preceded in death by his wife, Etta Mae; parents; brothers; and sisters.
Survivors include his children, Kenny Ruland (Shelley) and Kellie Harris (Jeff); grandchildren, Krista Harris Sander (Brett), Hunter Harris (Danielle), and Trey Ruland; great-grandchildren, Reid Sander, Rylan Sander, and Emery Harris; and numerous nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
